Here, I'm leaning towards the standard version, as I don't think the wings and dyes are worth anything near an extra $50-$100. I don't care about maps, skulls, USB sticks etc - It's all garbage to spin a few more dollars.
It really isn't worth it strictly for the in-game content. The dyes and wings are like 0.005% extra content. I've never bought a CE before either, and that's kind of why I've already preordered the CE version for D3. The CE stuff isn't super amazing, but I'm definitely interested in the music, behind the scenes, in game stuff, usb, etc. The box also looks really cool heh. I had the money to spare and figured it was worth it. I've been waiting for the game too long to just get the regular version.
So why will I be buying the CE? Of course Diablo gold [ diablogold.co.uk ] is necessary for your game trip. CE, I'm not british but going to pre-order it as soon as amazon.co.uk has it availible, I'm guessing that'll happen once Blizzard confirms the price for CE. Because I want the full Diablo 3 experience. That is, big box-soundtrack-artwork book-0.005% extra content. The best way to get your full D3 experience is through the CE. Do you even have any idea what you're saying? There's just so much wrong with what you just said I can't even bother trying to explain it all. I tried, but ended up deleting it. Just re-think what you said again. Or maybe there's something you're very confused about. It just doesn't work that way.
I could just as well used those $50 saving for a smartphone but it really doesn't matter. In the end you're buying leisure and what does it matter if it's a D3 CE or a smartphone. I'll probably end up buying the CE dyes and wing codes off of ebay or something. The stuff for SC2 and WoW isn't appealing at all to me considering I don't play either game.
